About Us
About Us
Welcome to Kedarnath Wildlife Division – a sanctuary where nature, culture, and conservation come together in the heart of the Himalayas.
Nestled in the majestic landscapes of Uttarakhand, the Kedarnath Wildlife Division is dedicated to protecting the region’s extraordinary biodiversity while promoting sustainable eco-tourism. We are custodians of some of India’s most pristine alpine ecosystems, rich with rare flora, fauna, and sacred heritage trails.
Our Mission
To conserve wildlife, protect critical habitats, and promote responsible nature-based tourism that benefits both local communities and the environment.
What We Do
-
Wildlife Conservation: We protect endangered species such as the Himalayan Monal, Musk Deer, and Himalayan Black Bear, and maintain essential habitats across high-altitude zones.
-
Eco-Tourism & Permits: Through our official portal, we provide permits for trekking routes like Shri Rudranath Yatra, bird-watching experiences, and nature walks.
-
Community Engagement: We work closely with local villagers and eco-development committees to promote conservation-friendly livelihoods.
-
Merchandise: We also offer official Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary merchandise including mugs, badges, posters, and more – designed to raise awareness and support our conservation efforts.
Explore. Respect. Preserve.
Whether you’re a nature lover, trekker, photographer, or wildlife enthusiast – Kedarnath Wildlife Division invites you to explore the untouched wilderness of the Himalayas with care and respect.
