Please Read and Accept the Following Terms and Conditions for Entry & Availing of Facilities at Kedarnath Wildlife Division
IMPORTANT: BY MAKING A RESERVATION FOR ENTRY OR AVAILING ANY FACILITY IN KEDARNATH WILDLIFE DIVISION, YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS. PLEASE READ THESE CAREFULLY BEFORE MAKING YOUR RESERVATIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, KINDLY DO NOT PROCEED FURTHER. MAKING A RESERVATION ON THIS WEBSITE WILL IMPLY YOUR AGREEMENT TO ANY AND ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS LAID DOWN HERE.
ISSUE OF PERMITS
- All reservations for use of any facility including entry, trekking, or stay in the Kedarnath Wildlife Division (KWD) are provisional and may be modified or cancelled by the District Forest Officer (DFO), Kedarnath Wildlife Division, without prior notice.
- Permits are issued exclusively for the individuals named in the booking and are non-transferable and non-refundable unless explicitly specified.
- Entry will be allowed only to those individuals whose name and ID match the booking. No additional or substitute persons will be allowed entry.
- It is the responsibility of the visitor to ensure all details submitted during booking are accurate. Entry may be denied for false or incomplete information.
- Foreign nationals must clearly mention their nationality while booking. Misrepresentation may lead to cancellation of permits and legal action.
- All visitors must carry a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport) and produce it upon entry or on demand by officials.
- Entering KWD using fake or altered permits or under someone else’s name will result in strict legal action.
ENTRY TO KEDARNATH WILDLIFE DIVISION
- Visitors must be aware of gate timings and arrive on time. Late entries are not allowed, and late exits may attract penalties.
- The use or possession of alcohol, narcotic drugs, or psychotropic substances is strictly prohibited and punishable under the NDPS Act, 1985.
- All treks (e.g., Shri Rudranath and Chandrashila) must be started before 2:00 PM. Entry gates will close after this time for safety reasons.
- KWD is a plastic- and litter-free zone. Visitors must carry out all non-biodegradable waste and dispose of it responsibly.
- Open fires, smoking (outside designated areas), loud music, and use of audio equipment without headphones are prohibited.
- Driving off designated roads, blowing horns, and over-speeding are not allowed within the sanctuary.
- Do not tease, feed, or approach wildlife. Such actions are punishable under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
- Carrying of firearms or entry with pets is strictly prohibited.
- Trekking is permitted only on marked trails. Off-trail walking or camping is not allowed.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

- In case of natural disruptions (e.g., heavy rain, landslides), entry may be denied for safety. No refunds will be issued for such cancellations.
- If entry is disrupted due to other uncontrollable factors (e.g., strikes, unrest), the DFO may authorize partial or full refunds. No alternative arrangements will be made.
- All decisions regarding refunds or rebooking rest with the DFO, Kedarnath Wildlife Division.
INDEMNITY
- KWD is a natural habitat for wild animals including leopards, bears, and snakes. The terrain is rugged, and medical facilities are limited. Visitors enter at their own risk and indemnify the KWD, Forest Department, and Government of Uttarakhand against any injury, loss, or damage.
- All rights, obligations, and disputes will be governed by laws of Uttarakhand and India. Any disputes must be brought before courts in Uttarakhand jurisdiction only.
- Any unauthorized access, hacking, or misuse of this portal will be prosecuted under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Cyber Security Policy, 2013.
Note: By booking a trek or entry permit, you acknowledge and accept these terms in full.
